IAAN Professional Development Grant Application

Mission:

The purpose of the Professional Development Grant is to provide
financial support for professional developmentactivities for IAAN members.


Possible Uses of Funds:

  • Professional educational activities
  • Lectures, conferences, seminars

General Information

  • The applicant must be an IAAN member at the time of reimbursement.
  • The due date is March 1, 2009. Late applications will be considered for the succeeding year.
  • Recipients will be announced no later than March 20, 2009.
  • Applications will be considered confidential information.
  • Expenses will be covered up to a maxmimum of $250.00
  • Funds may apply to a single conference/workshop or for coursework for one year.
  • Taxes will not be reimbursed.

Expectations

The grant recipient must prepare a written summary describing how the
award was used and submit it with the reimbursement request. This summary
will be printed in the IAAN Newsletter. The grant recipient may also choose
to present the summary at the Annual State Conference.

Application Guidelines

  • Complete entire application form.
  • Write a brief (approx. 250 words) description of how the award will be used.
    Describe how the activity will benefit you, your department, your students and/or IAAN.
  • Attach your current position title and a brief description of responsibilities.
  • Attach a completed budget, indicating the estimated expenses associated with the activity,
    even for personal development. This includes registration fees, travel expenses lodging
    costs and other related expenses (books, etc.).
  • List other professional development activities completed in the past two years.
